Skydance Paramount Plans to Cut Around 2,000 United States Roles – News
Paramount Skydance will begin mass layoffs during the week starting 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 American roles under a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn led by new chief executive David Ellison.
These job cuts come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August with a value of $8.4bn.
Additional overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, as the firm aiming to announce full details during its third-quarter financial update set for the 10th of November.
Earlier reports had indicated that Paramount planned to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by the beginning of next month.
As of December 2024, Paramount retained nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 project-based staff.
The organization did not immediately respond on the matter.
